WHY THE NAME LEVEL?

Welcome to Level Commercial Real Estate.

Why Level? Anyone who has started a business, created a body of work, launched a campaign, or had a kid, knows that one of the most fun and painful initial tasks is to come up with a name. Sometimes, it’s clear from the start. My first business, Cafe Metropole, was named somewhere between Omaha, NE and Bowling Green, KY, before I even knew where I was going to live or open the business. This time, it took a while.

Thank you to all of you who got roped in along the way. Starting with the professionals Mariel and Drew and their list of 64 possibilities, to the expansive, artistic minds of Katherine and Sarah, and on to impressions from my cousins, my mom, and of course my kids and husband. Perhaps not the most scientific but it was definitely a thorough exercise.

Throughout the naming process I kept coming back to the foundational pillars of this company which are trust, balance, and working to level the playing field in commercial real estate. I also thought about the qualities that Zoe and I share. We are both grounded, straight-talking problem solvers.

Level just fits us. Bonus… it’s a palindrome!
